Scam scheme:

This profile concerns a reported online dating scam case involving the name Valeriia Mural. On Tinder she reportedly used the name Kika, then after moving the conversation to WhatsApp she claimed her real name was Valeria. The victim also found an Instagram account connected to the name @muralvaleria.

According to the victim report, the woman claimed to be living with a family friend in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, while her parents allegedly remained in Berdyansk under Russian occupation. This war-related background was used to make the story emotionally urgent and difficult to question.

The reported scam pattern developed gradually. During the first few days, she did not ask for money. She sent photos, kept a normal romantic conversation, and built trust. Later, after mentioning shelling near her place, the story shifted toward leaving Ukraine and needing money for a bus fare to Germany.

The amount requested was reportedly 8000 UAH, later handled as a 200 EUR payment through PayPal. The victim offered to buy a bus ticket online, but she refused, claiming that in Donetsk and Luhansk regions electronic payments did not work and that everything had to be paid in cash. This is a major warning sign because it prevents the victim from paying a real transport provider directly.

The submitted materials include a Ukrainian passport image, personal photos, and a staged-looking luggage photo. The luggage photo was allegedly sent after the victim accused her of fraud and asked for proof that she was packing. In many travel scam cases, this type of photo is used to make the trip look immediate and real.

The woman allegedly stopped replying after receiving payment and later said she could not return the money because she had already paid the fare. She also avoided giving clear details about the bus route, departure point, or travel company. These inconsistencies are typical of a refugee-travel romance scam.

If a Ukrainian woman you met on Tinder or WhatsApp asks for money for evacuation, bus fare, border travel, PayPal payments, or refugee-related expenses, verify her before sending money. Our Ukrainian woman verification service helps check whether the photos, documents, location, social media, and travel story belong to the same real person.

If she sends a Ukrainian passport image, our Ukrainian passport verification service can help check whether the document is consistent and technically credible. If you only have photos or an Instagram profile, our person identification by photo service can help determine whether the images are reused or connected to another identity.
