First and last name: Liubov Maltseva
Country and city: Russia, Berezniki
E-mail: fitnesslove3586@gmail.com
Scam scheme:
This profile documents a reported Russian romance scam involving the name Liubov Maltseva and the email address fitnesslove3586@gmail.com. The woman claimed to live in Berezniki, Russia, and developed a long-distance relationship with a man in the United Kingdom.
The communication continued through lengthy and emotionally intense emails. She discussed sharing a future together in the UK and presented the relationship as serious and permanent. Once trust had been established, the conversation moved from future plans to the cost of traveling to meet him.
How the travel-money request was presented
Liubov claimed that she had traveled to Perm to ask about the documents required for her trip. She then sent a detailed breakdown of the alleged expenses:
| Claimed expense | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tourist visa | €196 |
| Visa processing | €99 |
| International passport | €298 |
| Medical examination | €278 |
| Airfare and airport insurance | €489 |
| Claimed total | €1,360 |
She claimed to have €975 from her salary and savings, leaving an exact shortfall of €385. This exact-gap tactic is common in romance scams because it makes the request appear limited, calculated, and easier for the victim to accept.
The emotional pressure behind the request
The request was framed as reluctant and embarrassing rather than direct. Liubov repeatedly stated that she was ashamed to ask for help, that she was emotionally upset, and that the payment was the only obstacle preventing the couple from meeting.
This created three forms of pressure at the same time:
- the fear of losing a serious relationship;
- the belief that most of the travel costs had already been covered;
- the impression that €385 would solve the problem permanently.
The victim sent the requested €385. According to his report, additional money was then required. When he refused to send more, the communication ended and the woman disappeared.
Passport image used as proof
A Russian passport image bearing the name Liubov Maltseva was supplied during the case. The document image was used to make the claimed identity and travel plans appear more credible.
The passport was reported as fake. A photograph of a passport should never be treated as proof that the document is genuine, that it belongs to the person sending it, or that the person in the photographs controls the email account.
Fake, altered, stolen, and third-party passport images are regularly used in online dating fraud. A document should be checked independently through a professional Russian passport verification before money is sent.
Warning signs in this case
- Lengthy romantic emails and promises of a shared future before an in-person meeting.
- A sudden travel problem appearing after emotional trust was established.
- A detailed list of visa, passport, medical, ticket, and insurance expenses.
- An exact financial shortfall rather than a general request for help.
- Claims of embarrassment and helplessness designed to reduce suspicion.
- A passport image used to support the travel story.
- Further financial demands after the first payment was received.
- Communication ending when the victim refused to send more money.
Important identity warning
The name, photographs, and passport details used in this case may belong to a real person whose identity was copied or misused. Publication of this report does not prove that the person shown in the photographs personally controlled the email account or received the payment.
The confirmed warning is the combination of the reported email address, photographs, passport image, travel-cost script, and request for €385. Anyone receiving the same photos, name, or email should stop before sending money and arrange an independent identity check.
