The victim chats online with a woman who calls herself Elvina Shevchenko. The conversation is easy and pleasant, and she looks far “out of his league”, which makes him more likely to ignore warning signs.
To prove she is “real”, she sends a Ukrainian ID card. After professional analysis this ID turns out to be a fake document, a typical tool in Ukrainian/Russian romance schemes. When asked basic control questions she says she does not drive and has no time for Facebook or Instagram.
