Ukrainian Passport in One Day: What’s Possible and What’s a Scam in 2025

Ukrainian passport and stopwatch on a white desk symbolizing urgency and time pressureGetting a passport in 24 hours sounds like a dream. And in some countries, there are expedited services that allow it. But what about Ukraine? Is it really possible to obtain a Ukrainian biometric passport in a single day — and should you trust anyone who offers this?

What the Law Says

According to Ukrainian legislation, there are two official timelines for issuing a biometric international passport:

  • Urgent issuance – up to 7 working days

  • Regular issuance – up to 20 working days

As of 2025, no official procedure exists that guarantees issuance in 24 hours. The only exceptions might be in very rare government-level cases (e.g. diplomats or under direct presidential orders), but these do not apply to ordinary citizens.

So Why Do Some Agents Say They Can Get It in a Day?

In Ukraine, there are many so-called “fixers” or “agents” who claim they have connections inside the passport office. Some may ask for $300–800 to “speed up” the process. But be cautious:

  • These services are not official

  • There’s no transparency or guarantees

  • You may end up with a fake document

Real Story: “I Paid $600 and Got Nothing”

One of our clients paid $600 in advance to an agent in Odesa who promised a same-day passport. The man disappeared with the money, and the client later found out the agent was using Photoshopped passports to convince people of his “success.”

So What’s the Fastest Safe Way?
